Early Cancer Risk Review - £269

Spotting the signs of cancers early can be vitally important.  In many instances, beginning treatment for cancer earlier than would otherwise have been the case can make all the difference.  When looking at cancer screening tests, it’s important to appreciate that no screening can be 100% perfect.  What some doctors call ‘false positives’ (results that are raised, but may turn out not to be serious) and ‘false negatives’ (results that appear normal but do not confirm the absence of a condition) can occur.

Who is this package suitable for?

At Bluecrest Health Screening, we want you to fully understand the benefits and limitations of any test and we have therefore developed a special package of screening tests that are most relevant for those who wish to review risks for certain cancers.

Your results report will be produced with considerable detail about each test:

  • The Bluecrest Early Cancer Risk Review is a specialist package that combines the measurement of tumour markers in the blood (for cancers of the prostate in males or ovaries in females) with a carefully selected range of other tests. The focus of the testing is on both the earlier diagnosis of cancer in addition to seeking to reduce the risk of developing cancer in the future.
  • The service is designed to complement and supplement the routine cancer screening currently offered by the NHS in relation to breast cancer and cervical cancer. It focuses particularly on risk factors relating to the following cancers: ovary, prostate, oesophagus, stomach, bowel, kidney, bladder, leukaemia, lymphoma, liver, bone and lung.
