Male Cancer Risk (Over 40s) – £249

Focussing primarily on risk factors relating to cancers of the prostate, oesophagus, stomach, bowel, kidney, bladder, blood, liver, bone and lung. The package also includes a follow-up consultation, allowing you to talk through any areas of concern with a registered GP. Please note, these tests are not diagnostic and are testing risk factors associated with cancers not for detecting cancer directly.

All packages also include an annual GP helpline available 24/7 to give you added peace of mind after your screening.

Spotting the signs of cancers early can be vitally important.  In many instances, beginning treatment for cancer early can make all the difference.  When looking at cancer screening tests, it’s important to appreciate that no screening can be 100% perfect.  What some doctors call ‘false positives’ (results that are raised, but may turn out not to be serious) can occur.  Likewise, ‘false negatives’ (results that appear normal but do not confirm the absence of a condition) can also occur. That’s why all your results will be explained fully in your Results Report. And you’ll have the added benefit of discussing any concerns you may have with a registered GP during a private consultation by phone or webcam after your appointment.

In addition, please ensure you read the guidelines in relation to PSA testing so you understand the benefits and limitation of the test before selecting it.

*Full price based on purchasing tests individually. Discount applied for purchasing tests as a package.

All our tests have been specially designed to be convenient and non-invasive. Once you’ve booked your appointment, full preparation instructions will be provided in your confirmation email or letter. You can continue to eat and drink normally before your appointment, and you’ll also remain fully clothed throughout.

Includes a highly accurate stool sample self-collection kit which can help with early detection of Bowel Cancer.
Also called a Haematology Profile, your full blood count includes 13 readings including white blood cells, red blood cells and a platelet count.
Includes a simple blood test to check for a Helicobacter Pylori infection, a strong risk factor for ulcers and stomach cancers.
Your simple COPD test involves blowing into a tube connected to a specialist device called a Vitalograph.
Your prostate cancer risk check involves a blood test analysing your levels of Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA). Sometimes a raised PSA level can be a sign of prostate cancer. However, more often it is caused by something less serious such as an inflamed prostate (prostatitis) or an enlargement of the prostate gland that comes on with ageing (benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH). In order that you’re fully aware of the benefits and limitations of this test, you are advised to check the guidance to make sure it’s right for you.
Help identify potential kidney and liver problems with your simple to use self-collection urine sample kit.
Your liver and kidney check includes a blood test to check your levels of Aspartate Transferase (AST), Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT), Alkaline Phosphate (ALP), Gamma GT, Bilirubin, Sodium, Urea and Creatinine. You’ll also get a reading for your eGFR (estimated glomerular filtration rate), used to ascertain how efficiently and effectively your kidneys are working.
Your type 2 diabetes check measures the level of glucose in your blood to help identify any irregularities. Your cholesterol check, or lipid panel, gives you 5 key readings including LDL (“bad” cholesterol), HDL (“good” cholesterol), triglycerides, total cholesterol and HDL/total cholesterol ratio. Around half a million people in the UK have undiagnosed diabetes, and over 50% of UK adults have high cholesterol.
Includes blood tests for calcium, corrected calcium and phosphate to check your bone, muscle and nerve health, together with general health markers including albumin, globulin, protein and uric acid.
Get follow up advice from our doctors with a 15 minute consultation over your phone, Skype or iPad. Your doctor will have a copy of your results to review and offer your bespoke guidance regarding any next steps or just to offer reassurance.
As part of your Bluecrest Health Screening package, you get 1 Year’s free access to our GP Helpline Service. The service provides 24/7 telephone access to a GP 365 days a year and is intended to be helpful for all manner of health issues during the course of a year – from tummy upsets through to travel advice.
